Our Apparatus

Split Rock Rescue 1 — This is a 2002 Ford Heavy Rescue, walk-in. It was manufactured by Boyer Sterling Trucks. This is our primary response unit for medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, and rescues. It holds 5 passengers, has 3 SCBA packs, extrication equipment, BLS medical equipment, and other general equipment. This truck is also our rehab unit during hot summer days or cold winters.

Split Rock Tender 1 — This apparatus is a 2021 Freightliner, tender-pumper. This is our newest apparatus manufactured by Toyne. It features pump-and-roll capabilities, 2 - 1 3/4” crosslays, and a 2,000 gallon tank. The pump is a 1,000 GPM waters pump with many intake and discharge options. This is our primary water tender and we use it for water shuttle operations, relay pumping, fires, and more.

Split Rock Engine 1 — Engine 1 is a 2010 International, manufactured by Rosenbauer. It seats 5 personnel and carries 6 SCBA packs. The pump is a mid-mount 1500 GPM waterous with a standing platform for optimal scene visibility from 360 degrees. The engine hauls 1000 gallons of water and has various structural firefighting equipment and hoses.

Split Rock Engine 2 — This is our second engine apparatus, it is a 2005 International, manufactured by Rosenbauer. This features side mount ladders, a mid-mount 750 GPM waterous pump, and features pump-and-roll capabilities. This apparatus can double as a tender as it has a 2,000 gallon tank with side and rear dump options.

Split Rock Grass Rig — This truck is a 2003 Ford F450 SUPER DUTY. This is our primary response unit for grass fires. it features a 300 gallon tank, 2 side mounted booster reels, and has great off road maneuverability due to its short wheel-base.
